Sac State Rowing Club
The Rowing Club is a competitive rowing team open to all Sacramento State Students. The rowing club is comprised of male athletes and male or female coxswains (the people who steer the boats.) The rowing club competes against schools such as Stanford, Santa Clara, UC Berkeley, and all other West Coast institutions with rowing programs. No experience is necessary to join the club. The club practices and competes in both Fall and Spring semesters.
Basic Canoeing
This class is for all of those people who have sat in a canoe and paddled around in circles making the sport of canoeing look like a chore. We will teach you to paddle straight and rescue yourself in the event of a capsize.
Green & Gold Membership
This membership includes access to the weight room and erg loft. Green & Gold Members are entitled to the use of kayaks, canoes, stand up paddle boards, sailboats and rowing shells.
Outrigger Memberships
The Aquatic Center Outrigger Membership is only open to members of Capital Outrigger.
Rowing Memberships
This membership includes access to the weight room and erg loft. Rowing Members are entitled to the use of eight (8+), four (4+), two (2+/2X), and one (open water 1Xs) person shells.
Paddling Membership
This membership includes access to the weight room and indoor rowing machines. Paddle Members are entitled to the use of single, tandem, and yak sit on top kayaks, canoes and stand up paddle boards.
Katie Ellis

Katie was born and raised in Sammamish, Washington. She and her family moved to the Sacramento area in 2011 and found her love for aquatics at a young age through the Aquatic Center. Katie joined Capital Crew in eighth grade and competed through her senior year of high school.
