This course is designed to give the adventurous novice kayaker a taste of downriver paddling and there is no better place than the lower American River Parkway. Thousands of people float this calm section of the river each summer making it the perfect playground for beginners to develop sound paddling, navigation, and safety skills.

The Aquatic Center offers canoe rentals for up to 2 adults and one small child, or 1 adult and two small children.  Must be rented by minimum of two people and must be from the same household

Steve has a life-long passion for the water that started on his parents boat when he was a toddler and continues today with his family on their pontoon boat. Steve spent many years in the marine repair industry before a long career in building material sales
